With reference to the DOST-ITCU Memorandum 21-000063 dated January 24, 2022 and our announcement email last February 10, we wish to inform you that the deadline for applications for the 8^th Underwriters Laboratories-ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women 2022 has been extended until March 31, 2022. Please be informed that as of March 17, 2022, the ASEAN Secretariat has received 36 applications from 6 ASEAN Member States (AMS): 26 applications for Mid-Career Category, 6 applications for Senior Category, and 4 unidentified applications (age information is not clear). However, two (2) applications for the Mid-Career Category are ineligible, leaving only 24 eligible applications.

Interested applicants may still register in the Mid-career Category through https://bit.ly/SPfW2022MidCareer, and the Senior Category through https://bit.ly/SPfW2022Senior. May we request those who have submitted their applications to inform the DOST-ITCU at oasec.ic@dost.gov.ph. With the theme “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Health and Safety”, the 2022 competition aims to raise awareness on cutting edge advancements by women in AI research in addressing pressing issues in ASEAN communities.
