The Leave a Nest Group is calling for applications for Leave a Nest Grant-Global Challenge.

2022 marks Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. Japan’s 20th year, and because of this milestone, the Leave a Nest Group announces its call for applications for Leave a Nest Grant ~Global Challenge~.

The Leave a Nest Grant ~Global Challenge~ is a special leg of one of the group’s pillar initiatives, The Leave a Nest Grant, which, since 2008, has been supporting researchers starting from Japan and expanding to other countries as well.

With the group's vision of “Advancing Science and Technology for Global Happiness”, they have been supporting researchers via various initiatives such as the Hyperinterdisciplinary Conference and the Leave a Nest Grant, and believe that the development of technologies are the key to solving issues around the world.
 

Due to this vision, the Leave a Nest Grant ~Global Challenge~ will focus on awarding research and technologies relating to issues that are felt by a lot of people around the globe, which therefore has a lot of impact. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Health (including the current COVID-19 pandemic)

- Environmental (pollution and energy)

- Agriculture and food

- Nature (preservation of land and marine resources)

- Social (gender equality and accessibility)

- Education

For the Philippines, a small grant of 50,000 PHP each will be awarded to five (5) researchers who are affiliated with any academic or research institution in the Philippines.  Researchers from startups are welcome to apply as long as they are officially affiliated with an academic institution.  Nationality is also not an issue, and foreigners residing in the Philippines and currently affiliated with and doing research in an academic or research institution in the Philippines are also eligible to apply.
